Peter Zhao
Peter Zhao is a Senior Applications Chemist at SNF Holding Company, the world’s largest polyacrylamide manufacturer. He has over 20 years of industrial experience, mostly in water soluble polymers: formulation, synthesis, as well as applications. His experience with polymer applications is mostly focused on wastewater treatment and sludge dewatering, as well as pulp and papermaking.
Peter Zhao Joined SNF four years ago. He previously worked as a Research Scientist at Kemira FinnChem (5 years), a Project Leader at Aquatron (7 years), and a Project Manager at Xintuo Polymers (4 years).
Before joining the industry, Peter Zhao worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2001-2002). He obtained his Ph.D. in Chemistry from Ohio University (2001), an M.S. degree in Polymer Chemistry from University of Science & Technology of China (1997), and a B.E. degree in Polymer Materials Engineering from Hefei University of Technology (1994).
