Dr. Justin Benavidez is an Assistant Professor and Extension Management Economist for the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service for District 1 in Amarillo, TX. Dr. Benavidez grew up in Tulia, TX prior to attending Texas A&M University where he earned a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in agricultural economics.
Dr. Benavidez research interests and extension education activities are in farm management, livestock, row crop production, policy analysis, and bio-economic modeling. Dr. Benavidez completed a fellowship with AgriLife Extension, holds a certificate in international trade and agriculture, interned with the United States House Committee on Agriculture, and received first place in the Agriculture and Applied Economics Association Extension Graduate Student Competition.
