As President of Shaw Engineering, Bryan W. Shaw, Ph.D., P.E. provides consulting services to assist entities and organizations with navigating regulatory requirements at the local, state, national, and international level. These services include advocacy for permitting, mitigating enforcement issues, addressing regulatory policy and rulemaking, and providing testimony before legislative and governmental bodies. Prior to founding Shaw Engineering, Dr. Shaw served as Chairman of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) where he was appointed by the governor to establish overall agency direction and policy, and to make final determinations on contested permitting and enforcement matters. Before being appointed to the TCEQ, Dr. Shaw served on the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department faculty at Texas A&M University and was the Associate Director of the Center for Agricultural Air Quality Engineering and Science (CAAQES). He has authored 230 publications including 35 peer reviewed journal articles and 3 book chapters on topics ranging from air pollution measurement, modeling, and abatement to environmental, safety, and health. In addition to his role with Shaw Engineering, he enjoys time with his wife and two children, is active in his church, and runs a small cattle ranch in Central Texas. Dr. Shaw supports youth development through support of 4-H and FFA and has served on the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, Youth Horse Show Committee since 2005.
